STIPULATIONS EXCLUSIONS

Scope of work and prices may be subjected to change during the season due to the hyperinflation in the cost of labor and materials rising.

Change orders must be approved by an authorized representative of the owner as well as Sealtek Asphalt. Change orders may delay the project’s completion.

Prices are subject to change if the work is not completed during the current year.

Sealtek Asphalt reserves the right to use sub-contractors when/if necessary due to unforeseen circumstances.

Sealtek Asphalt will honor a 1-year warranty on material and labor. Due to sub-base issues, weather, acts of God, etc. we are unable to provide a warranty for cracking or damage that may occur as a result of these incidents.

Sealtek Asphalt will not be held accountable for damages to any underground utilities or irrigation systems undetected, mislocated, or unmarked by Ohio or local underground service technicians and/or the property owner.

Sealtek Asphalt is not responsible for damages to projects caused by residents, animals, or other vehicles that drive, walk, ride bikes, or any means of transportation through our barricades to cross our work zones.

Work not detailed, not included.

SEALCOATING

Sealcoat may not adhere to oil or gasoline deposits.

Please be aware that tire marking of newly seal-coated surfaces is normal and to be expected within the first 30 days and will fade after time.

Please do not make sharp turns on your newly seal-coated surface within the first 30 days. This could cause the sealcoating to prematurely fail and cause an uneven texture. Sealtek Asphalt is not responsible for fixing these issues. Keeping the vehicle in motion while turning your wheels will help prevent this issue.

If a sprinkler or irrigation system comes on at any time during sealcoating, crack filling, or the striping process, which includes the 12-hour dry time after the sealcoating has been completed, an additional fee for mobilization, labor, and material cost will be billed to the invoice.

Crack fill, sealcoat, and paint materials are not guaranteed in heavily cracked areas or where water is pooling.

Sealtek Asphalt will not be held responsible for any sealer material or paint on vehicles due to rain or wind.

PATCHWORK/PAVING

Sealtek Asphalt is not responsible for pre-existing or future conditions of the asphalt or any underground issues. These issues include but are not limited to; pumping (underground water seeping through cracks) and rutting due to soft spots.

TOWING

It is the property owner’s responsibility to have cars towed/moved from the designated project areas before our arrival to begin work. A fee of $50.00 will be billed to the invoice for every 30 minutes the cars are not moved.

Garage Doors and Concrete

Occasionally when seal coating, the wind might kick up and cause some over spray. If sealer can’t be cleaned or removed from these surfaces, painting is the final remedy. Garage door or concrete replacement will not be performed.
